About HomeHandoff™

Built by people who moved twenty times

We are Cody and Amanda Bartkoski. After more than twenty moves, we knew buying and selling better than almost anyone, and the part that always tripped us up was the handoff after closing.

Our story

Every step of the sale had a pro. The handoff had a sticky note.

Buying and selling a home comes with a small army. An agent runs the listing, a lender handles the loan, an inspector checks the roof, a title company clears the close. Then the keys change hands, the army goes home, and the actual handoff of the home falls to a few rushed texts and whatever the seller can still remember.

We lived that gap across more than twenty moves. Our agents were great, which is exactly why we hated pestering them for months with the little things, the where-is-the-water-shutoff and how-do-you-work-the-thermostat and who-did-you-use-for-the-pool. None of it was hard. The answers already existed. There was just nowhere good to put them, so every buyer, us included, moved in and started the same scavenger hunt the last owner had just finished.

HomeHandoff is the thing we kept wishing for. One place to pass along everything you know about a home, so the seller answers once, the buyer walks in already knowing how it all works, and the agent stays the hero instead of the switchboard.

Meet Homie

Homie is the HomeHandoff corgi. Corgis were bred to herd, and Homie's job is keeping everything about the home in one place until it's ready to change hands. You'll see him when something is done, like a finished handoff or a set of keys ready for the buyer.

Our mission

Make the handoff feel as handled as the sale

Our mission is simple. Make the handoff feel as handled as the sale, and take the stress out of the weeks around closing for everyone in the deal.

What we stand for

The agent is the hero

Every handoff carries your name. Nothing we build ever replaces the agent who earned the relationship.

The relationship outlasts the closing

Real estate runs on repeat business and referrals, so we keep you in front of clients long after the sale.

The small stuff should not cost you

A leftover package or a thermostat question should never eat your evening or strain a client bond.

Every home has knowledge worth keeping

The good HVAC guy, the pool quirk, the app that runs the heat. That knowledge should move with the house.

Both sides deserve a smooth move

When the seller and the buyer both feel taken care of, the agent in the middle looks great.

Privacy and trust come first

No contact info shared, clean separation between parties, and security built in from the start.

What we build

One platform for the whole home transition, from the listing appointment to long after closing.
